Taken just before the start of the Elite Men's XC race at 2013 mountain bike national championships at Bear Creek Mountain Resort. My dad is giving me words of encouragement while I stuff ice in my jersey to try and stay cool. Despite the poor result on the day, I'll still look fondly back on this day as I was able to compete in front of friends and family on a home course for a national championship.
